Yale University distributes ipads to students

Yale’s prestigious medical students will receive iPad 2 this fall, which will replace paper used to learn and collect patient data.

More and more universities are beginning to look at tablets and offer them to students, replacing paper. That’s what made Yale a prestigious college, which is planning to donate iPad 2 to medical students this fall.

Tablets will receive special software, which students will use during the first and second year of study. On the other hand, students of the third and fourth year will receive tablets containing information related to their specializations.

Yale claims that the solution is more eco-friendly and that, in his words, a photograph is presented showing how much paper savings will be replaced by a tablet. The picture shows a thin tablet, next to a giant heap showing the materials used by students only during the first two years. In addition to saving paper, students, thanks to an interactive learning style, will also be much better acquainted with knowledge.

Samsung and Google will expand Nexus

Nexus 7 slowly conquers the market by tempting consumers with high functionality and low price. But many believe the 7-inch screen is too small for them, so plans are for a new, much larger tablet model.

According to unofficial reports released by CNET analyst Richard Shim, Google along with Korean Samsung is developing a new, larger version of Nexus, which would have a 10-inch screen and would offer a screen resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, beating the head of the new iPad. A pixel density of 299 ppi.

Shim claims that the reports are reliable because they come from component suppliers and those in those cases are the best informed source.

The specialist also claims that in December, the production of a new tablet for Android should start at $ 99. It is not known if this will be a Nexus 7 variant, or a brand new model.

If the information is confirmed, it would be a great curiosity. As we all know, Nexus 7 is a work of Asus, so you might think that Asus will also be producing a larger model. Meanwhile, Samsung’s involvement suggests that Google is seeking to diversify its interests and does not want to bind to one partner.
